I recently moved back to the United States after living in Italy for 5 years. Along with teaching English, I myself had to learn a foreign language, Italian. I understand the difficulties and also satisfaction that comes from doing this. I faced many challenges and have been through the embarrassment and self-doubt that comes with trying to speak something that doesn’t feel natural. I can relate you and want to help you on this journey. While in Italy, I taught English to over 400 students, everyone from children to business men as well as beginners to advanced students. I have a TEFL certification and hold a Bachelors degree in Human Development. I have taught all types of lessons including Cambridge Exams (KET PET FCE CAE CPE), IELTS, and TOEFL. Even though I am experienced in teaching all types of lessons, my favorite to teach is grammar. I believe having a solid foundation of grammar is essential. I can help you improve your grammar by explaining even the most complicated topics in a clear way. As a teacher I love to structure my lessons around the student’s personal interests and hobbies. During the first lesson, I want to hear about your goals and learn more about you. That way, during our lessons we can discuss your personal interests while using new grammar and vocabulary you have learned. My greatest passion is working with people and helping them achieve a goal. I am dedicated to my students and want to help them in any way possible.
