About Marta Y.

Soprano Marta Kukularova began her musical education at The Music High School in Plovdiv, Bulgaria with harp and later she completed her undergraduate studies at The Academy of Music, Dance and Art in Plovdiv in Voice Studies. She participated in a Master Class with Elena Obraztsova in Spain where she was granted the Best Young Singer's Award. She also participated in a US national tour, organized by CAMI where she performed Sacerdotessa from “Aida” and Contessa Ceprano from “Rigoletto” by Verdi.

Marta performed the role of Barbarina from Mozart's “Marriage of Figaro” with The Juilliard Opera Theater. Later in the same year, she performed the title soprano role of “Susannah” by Carlisle Floyd in the prestigious Chautauqua Music Festival and she came back to perform Tatiana from “Eugene Onegin” by Tchaikovsky. The following year, she made her Alice Tully Hall debut in New York City’s Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. In 2010 she completed her Master’s in Voice at Juilliard. She also is a fellow of the Opera Singers Initiative and successfully pursues her vocal performance career.
