Music Performance with Marla M.

I am a professional singer/songwriter who has been based in Nashville for 10 years. I specialize in country, pop, rock, singer-songwriter, musical theater and more. In 2018, I released an EP of all original songs that has been streamed over 700,000 times! Additionally, I sing lead vocals and background vocals on demos in Nashville. As a songwriter, several of my songs have been cut by outside artists. I have over ten years of experience in teaching voice lessons at several music schools in Nashville and in Connecticut. I am commercially and classically trained as a singer and I have a degree from Belmont University in Nashville, TN. Additionally, I have been playing piano since I was four-years-old, so I incorporate base level piano playing into my lessons. As an artist, I have been performing in Nashville and on the road for over 10 years, so I love to incorporate music performance and and the importance of individual technique into my lessons. My versatility, experience in the music industry and extensive formal training helps me to understand what each student needs! My mission is to always create a positive, encouraging and fun environment for my students that allows for a safe space to grow and further develop their craft. Each student will have a unique lesson catered to his/her needs.
