I started with Mark as a beginner and he has been everything I hoped for in a piano teacher. He’s patient, understanding, knowledgeable, and has helped me tremendously. Mark gets as excited as I do when I make progress! Mark told me upfront he would be demanding about practicing scales and focusing on proper fingering — and It has been very helpful. Plus Mark is a very nice guy and I always look forward to chatting with him during our lessons.+ Read More
Mark is a wonderful voice teacher! I have sung in choirs for years without having had any proper voice training. I’ve had Mark’s compassionate coaching for about three years and I feel so much more confident in my voice and my ability to contribute to the group.
When Mark gives feedback he always finds a lot of positive things to point out and deftly slips in the issues I need to work on. I leave my lessons feeling good while having a good idea of the work I need to do before my next lesson.
I highly recommend Mark Zwilling if you are looking for a voice teacher; he is extremely knowledgeable, kind, and patient.
Mark is an amazing instructor. He has an abundance of technical expertise which he applies with compassion. He is able to assess a student's potential and both teach to that potential and suggest practice assignments that are neither too daunting nor too easy. I recommend Mark as an instructor to any student.+ Read More

Mark Zwilling is an incredible voice teacher. I have learned so much from him that others who don't know I've been taking lessons have noticed improvements and asked me if I am studying voice. He is so supportive that I can feel comfortable trying new things and not worrying too much about how I sound. And that is HUGE for me. I know he teaches piano and classical voice also, and I am sure he is amazing there also.+ Read More
Mr. Zwilling taught our two boys piano for the 8 years from Kindergarten through 8th Grade. Both boys have developed excellent playing, and reading skills and have acquired a deep knowledge of music theory that they would never have learned in school.
Mark was flexible with scheduling and kind in his reprimands. He stuck with us through all our growing periods, especially when the boys struggled with realizing that they weren't born knowing how to do everything, and indeed, would have to practice. Mark helped us create a program to motivate the boys to practice and tailored their instructional programs to their playing and personality styles.
My kids started taking piano with Mark after their beloved teacher suddenly and unexpectedly passed away just before the Christmas holiday. It was a very difficult time and I so appreciated Mark's kindness and empathy in helping them find joy in music again. Additionally, Mark is an incredibly talented pianist, among other musical skills, and the kids have grown a good deal skill-wise under his tutelage. He does a good job balancing technical development - lots of scales! - with musical development through a variety of classical pieces and traditional piano teaching books. Mark is a great choice for anyone looking to learn to play the piano!+ Read More
