Supervised the nuclear plant of a U. S. Navy submarine. Stood watch as Officer of the Deck aboard U. S. Navy Submarines. Taught safely handling surface contacts and tracking submerged contacts to submarine crews. Taught prospective submarine engineers the math and concepts behind radiation safety aboard nuclear powered submarines. As Navigator and Operations Officer oversaw the department responsible for safe navigation of nuclear powered submarines.

The MTS designee will have demonstrated highly effective teaching skills and a comprehensive understanding of school management, training administration, and curriculum management. The MTS Program is designed to develop and qualify those individuals who possess advanced knowledge, skills, and abilities that will enhance the delivery of quality education and training in the navy.
