*** Lesson Details ***
Students can expect lessons to be structured while being tailored to their desires and goals. Mark likes to focus on what students want to learn while pushing them to challenge themselves. His goal is to “bring out the artist” in his students but he also understands lessons should be fun.
*** Travel Equipment ***
I will suggest necessary teaching materials/books. Students need their own instruments.

Great teacher! Really knows what he's talking about and gives great examples to help better understand the exercises. Highly recommend.
Mark did a great job with my sessions. He is knowledgeable and patient. It was a pace that suited me. I would highly recommend Mark to anyone.
Mark is awesome! So patient and encouraging!
I've been a guitar player for a while and have wanted to learn how to sing along with the guitar. Mark has done an excellent job determining where I currently am as a singer and how I can get to where I want to be as a singer. He has started with the basics and explaining to me how you can improve as a singer by making routine out of several exercises. He has done a great job not just explaining what the exercises are, but why they are beneficial to me as a vocalist. After gathering a better sense of my voice, I have started bringing my guitar to lessons and he has helped me immensely to blend my voice with my instrument. Since doing these lessons, I've had the confidence in my voice to start performing at open-mic nights in the Twin Cities and I thank Mark for that! He is wonderful!+ Read More
I found Mark through TakeLessons a little over a year ago when my dad and I were looking to start learning guitar. I could not have been more pleased with how accommodating Mark was with our schedules and different skill levels. Whether its reviewing what we learned the week prior or taking on something new we are being challenged every lesson. My dad and I have come a long way since we started last year and Mark is to thank for our success. I highly recommend Mark if you are just starting out or have a few years under your belt. He is crazy knowledgeable!+ Read More
Really knows his stuff and is very patient. Cares about you wanting to play to the best of your ability and really stays on topic and down to business but at the same time makes you feel comfortable when talking about your influences.
Mark is extremely knowledgeable, nice and willing to work on whatever you would like to improve upon. He adapts his lessons very well based on skill level and student interest. I highly recommend Mark for any level of guitarist.
I started as an intermediate bass player. Mark was very helpful in advancing my skills in a very short amount of time. He is very patient and easy to work with. I highly recommend him.
Mark is an excellent voice coach! He has been very helpful in teaching me breathing techniques, voice health, understanding my vocal range and how to improve my range. He has made me feel more confident in my abilities and I am looking forward to future lessons.
I couldn't of picked a better voice instructor!
I've always been a confident songwriter but when it came to singing I struggled; especially with pitch. Thats when I started my lessons with Mark and right away knew he was the right instructor. Instead of making me follow some completely pre-scripted lesson plan, Mark helped me correct my pitch and overall singing while practicing songs I had written myself.
I've been working with him for almost two years now and I've noticed significant improvements across the board and have gained so much more confidence in my singing abilities. Enough that I actually just finished recording a 13-track album of songs all written and sung by me. I can't thank Mark enough for helping me follow my dreams and for continuing to help me grow as a singer.
You are doing a great job with Robbie. He is still having a difficult time remembering the chords and he refuses to practice at home because of this. If you could give him one song to remember to practice at home that may help. He would like to practice at home but he gets so frustrated because of his memory with this. Robbie also enjoys you.+ Read More
Really Enjoyed Lessons
I enjoyed working with Mark because he knew his stuff! Very talented musically and helped me break down a song and learn little bits at a time. I really appreciated that he let me pick the songs I wanted to practice and he was just excited to help me learn what I wanted to focus on.Thanks again!
I really enjoy my guitar lessons with Mark. I also look forward to practicing in between lessons because of the material he chooses. I'm learning more and doing more. I highly recommend Mark.
The classes are going great. Mark keeps me to task, not always a easy thing to do.He also makes the lessons fun.
