Vocal Training with Marissa R.

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by! I'm an actor and singer with experience teaching over fifty students, ranging from ages 4-75. My students have been accepted into Orange County High School of the Arts for musical theatre, high school productions, community theatre, and started their own social media passions. My students sing in a range of styles from pop, legit classical training, jazz, rock, and musical theatre. I graduated from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, the top music school in the country, with a BM in Vocal Performance. I began my performance career as a child, and continue to stay active in the LA community. I know how to make auditions stand out, and how to give polished performances! My studio is a judgement free zone, we laugh and we learn! I am a stickler for healthy technique to prevent vocal injuries, and also help with music theory in order to become more independent in teaching yourself new music. Breathing techniques, thorough warmups, and practice make for improvement! I also have a background with students with varying learning/social disabilities, and know how to cater our lessons to their comfort levels and needs. I will be attending grad school for Speech Pathology, so I have more extensive knowledge of how to interact with these wonderful students!
