Singing with Marissa P.

Hi there! I'm Marissa. I've been singing for over 15 years and have a BM from Boston University and am working on my Master's at Ithaca College, where I teach class voice and voice lessons. I've trained classically, but love to teach many genres including pop, musical theatre, jazz, and other styles and others based on your musical goals and what YOU love. I'm an actively performing singer, but am passionate about teaching and helping students to unleash their most free vocal expression. I want to inspire and empower my students to be creative in their approach to singing, piano, and songwriting. Inclusivity is is important to me as a teacher and as a human being. In lessons with me, you'll learn a ton, but always feel that the environment is one where you can ask questions and feel supported in your musical journey. When I'm not singing or teaching, I'm probably hiking around Ithaca, playing mandolin, reading a book, or trying to keep my many houseplants alive. Feel free to message me with any questions!
