Marissa M. is a versatile professional with an array of experience in education and the performing arts. She has a passion for both and her instruction is influenced by the combination. Mrs. M’s purpose is to instill attributes in her students that will carry them forward throughout their lives. This purpose is met from the discipline of ballet while making academic, real world connections.
She has served as an educator for over 10 years with Richardson ISD as a Bilingual teacher, Reading Specialist, and Bilingual Education Specialist. During her tenure she had the opportunity to train Bilingual teachers, plan and lead staff development, facilitate teachers’ progress, and research new methods of instruction. In 2005 Mrs. M. returned to teaching dance and performing. She teaches ballet to students of various levels, coaches students focused towards a performing arts track, choreographs, stages, and develops and administers a dance summer workshop.
