I have been teaching violin lessons for 36 years after graduating from Kherson music college in Ukraine. I was trained in traditional method with a focused approach to posture, detailed technique and bow distribution, which all together creates  a beautiful sound.
Because of this approach many of my students have received music scholarships.
I love what I do and my students stay with me for many years because they see the value in learning from me.

Both my daughters loved violin with Marina (8 years of lessons)! She is patient with beginners and inspiring with advanced students.

I have been playing the violin for 9 years, and 3 of those years Marina Hallows was my teacher. In those years she has taught me more than previous teachers. She possesses many good qualities for teaching, I especially like her way about technique. Since applying her method I've improved dramatically, and do not regret taking lessons from her. Because of Marina, my playing is much more advanced.

I have played violin for 16 years, and took lessons from Marina for about 3 of them. I learned more in those 3 years about posture, technique, position, intonation, etc. than I ever did before then. She is very particular to detail and requires you to do your best whether in person or online. I was challenged to exceed and grow far beyond the things I had previously learned, and began to be quite advanced in my playing thanks to Marina's teachings.

I have been taking lessons from Marina for almost nine years (both in person and online), and I really appreciate her attention to detail. She does a great job teaching good posture and intonation. She is able to push me to do things that I don't think I can do at first. I also appreciate the fact that she is consistent and almost never cancels lessons.

We have nothing but the best to say about my daughters  wonderfully talented teacher! She has helped my daughter improve tremendously and we could gush on and on about how amazing of a teacher she is. THE. BEST!

My children have taken lessons from Marina for almost eight years, and we all love her! Currently, I have 4 violinists, ages 9-16 taking lessons each week. We began with in home lessons and transitioned to online lessons this past year. Marina's attention to the details of technique,  intonation, and posture are the same whether in person or online. One of my favorite things to observe over the years is Marina's ability to adapt her teaching and expectations to each student's ability and personality. She has an amazing way of knowing just how to motivate each student in order to help him or her reach their potential as a musician and person. I highly recommend this fabulous teacher!
