Hello! My name is Marin and I am currently pursuing a Masters of Music for Violin Performance at the University of Michigan SMTD, where I study with Professor David Halen, also Concertmaster of the St. Louis Symphony. Currently I am a substitute violinist for the New World Symphony and the St. Louis Symphony. For my Bachelor of Music, I went to Rice University and studied with Professor Kathleen Winkler, a reknown performer and violin educator in the U.S. Previous to her, I studied with the Concertmaster of the New York Philharmonic, Frank Huang. I have been a full scholarship recipient for summer festivals for all four years of my undergraduate career, at the Music Academy of the West, Colorado College Summer Music Festival, Texas Music Festival, and Madeline Island Chamber Music. At the Music Academy I played alongside the London Symphony. I was also ranked first in the state of Texas for TMEA All-State, so I am familiar with what goes into the process of becoming a very advanced player as an intermediate violinist.
