Teaching Locations:

I am a Spanish native speaker teacher. I hold a degree in the field of Early Childhood Education issued in my country Lima-Peru. After my graduation from The Instituto Pedagogico Nacional Monterrico, I decided to traveled to the United States and stayed since then. I worked as a pre-school and first grade teacher in a bilingual private school in Miami. I also worked as a Readiness Specialist and Quality Assurance Specialist at the Early Childhood Education (ECE) Department for a non-profit organization in Miami Lakes and West Palm Beach.
After moving to Atlanta, I started working at Tabula Rasa school as a preschool and after-school teacher at the Spanish Program for 3 years. I worked for this private school with non-Spanish native speakers children of different ages exposed to a full immersion Spanish program. It was a rewarding professional and personal experience to see how my students became fluent in the target language.
In 2008, I was offered a Spanish teacher position in Phoenix, Arizona by All Saint's Episcopal Church and Day School. I was responsible for the Lower School Spanish Program teaching from preschool thru 4th grade. I enjoyed this teaching experience in a Christian environment.
In 2009, I returned back to Atlanta and since then, I have been working as a Spanish teacher/instructor in several day care centers as well as conducting the Spanish after school program offered at some Public schools in Fulton and Cobb counties.
I am a certified teacher by the State of Georgia in the fields of Early Childhood Education and Spanish (certificate number:874349).
From 2010 to June 2013, I worked for the St. Benedict's Episcopal Day School as a Spanish Lead teacher, being responsible to teach first through fifth grades.
In summer of 2013, I worked as a translator of documents given by Home Depot. Some of the topics translated were related to grills, smokers and so forth.
I am currently working independently as a Spanish tutor, helping elementary, middle, and high school students to improve their Spanish skills, and I also provide one-one Spanish tutoring sessions to college students and adults.

Buenos dias a todos!
I am a native Spanish Tutor with a degree in the field of Education and certified by the State of Georgia in the fields of Early Childhood Education and Spanish. Sometimes learning a foreign language can be overwhelming and frustrating, which is why I focus my lessons on UNDERSTANDING and SPEAKING Spanish from the very first class. My method is fun and you will learn real-life Spanish.
I have traveled a lot in Latin America , and have visited different Spanish-speaking countries. Thus, I am familiar with the regional differences of the language. I'm a very reliable person and nothing makes me happier than seeing my students make progress. My rates are competitive based on my experience. References available upon request.

Mariella is a fabulous Spanish teacher, she is patient, clear and has a good sense of humor.

Mariella was fantastic! She was patient and encouraging with my daughter. She used practical application to help her understand vs. rote memorization.

Today was our first lesson and our instructor was fantastic. She was very encouraging! We are looking forward to our next upcoming lesson.

She's a great teacher. Very pleasant and very good sense of humor. She knows I am very busy at work and her teaching methods are catered to my needs. She continues to review the basics and makes sure I comprehend the vocabulary before we proceed. I highly recommend her.

Mariella is a great teacher!
She's very patient and easily accepts you right where you are in your learning. She's fun to talk too and you will become friends real quick.

Brilliant instructor, fun and memorable exercises make it a class to look forward to. The improved atmosphere in learning with Mariella has allowed me to attain a more rapid progress that was conversationally and occupationally useful much sooner than I anticipated. Working with an instructor one on one also helps greatly decrease anxiety of learning when you will need to try your new skills on others who may not know you well if at all. The lessons she gives, along with the adjuncts on learning recommended, provide an efficacious and complete Spanish learning system where the goal you personally desire will be obtained, be it for travel, occupational, or cultural purposes. I cannot get over how many years I've studied Spanish using books and computer programs and audio CDs in the car, but then to make more progress in a short time than I had over years locks in that speaking high quality Spanish will be in your future if you continue with this instructor and follow her careful guidance.

Mariella is a patient teacher who teaches to ensure your ability to speak and comprehend the Spanish language. I have a long way to go but I am well on my way with Mariella's help.
