My home is surrounded by trees, squirrels, birds and flowers. I've been teaching science for about 35 years in private schools, public schools, technical schools as well as online. I retired from public school about 10 years ago but I never stopped teaching. The best part of what I do is seeing your face as you make the connections between what you knew and the information we shared in class that day. It is exciting! We use lots of pictures, videos, research, creating models or drawings, and experiments you can do at home with your family. We use every kind of learning you can think of and maybe a few you may not know! I have always taught science. It's fascinating and it is never ending. We are curious aren't we! It's learning how your world works. It is ever changing… the world we think we know and what we think we know about it. We are always finding out new things. I offer: 1) Private lessons - Tutoring on an as need basis or regularly depending on the goal of the student. 30-90 minutes as you prefer. If you prefer to complete an entire subject as a review or personal interest class, you can choose by semester or year. Semester classes will last 18 classes. It takes 36 classes to complete a year study program in each subject. 60 minutes/class, typically 1 or 2 classes per week; 2) Small-group classes of no more than 5 students - same as above; 3) Personal enrichment or Continuing Education Classes, purchase 5 week increments. 30-90 minutes/ class. These would include catching up on a subject, study skills, research/ term paper tutoring, project building, exam preparation, introduction to a semester subject class (18 classes in total length). All classes can be taught in intermediate level American Sign Language (ASL).
