Violin with Maria P.

I currently work as the Strings Teacher and Orchestra Director at the Mount Kenya Academy in Nyeri, Kenya. I teach students ages 7 to 18 in both the elementary and secondary schools on the campus. Although I am primarily a violinist, I also teach viola and cello. I especially like working with adult learners, but am happy to teach anyone who is EXCITED about music and eager to learn! I received my Bachelor of Music in Music Performance from the University of Massachusetts Lowell (summa cum laude) and my Master of Music in Music Education from The Boston Conservatory at Berklee. I have taught music in various schools in Massachusetts, USA such as the Natick Public Schools, The Boston Latin School, and Dedham Public Schools. I have also been an adjunct faculty member at The Boston Conservatory at Berklee, where I taught music theory and ear training to graduate students.
