Violin with Maria I.

Hello music-lovers! My name is Maria and I have been playing/studying the violin for 21 years (since I was 3 years old!). I have 2 degrees under my belt from the Curtis Institute of Music and the New England Conservatory, where I studied with Pamela Frank, Shmuel Ashkenasi, and Miriam Fried. I have 6 years of teaching experience, ranging from absolute beginners (children and adults alike!), to intermediates and advanced. I've played around the world as a soloist, a chamber musician, and as part of an orchestra, and absolutely enjoy sharing the beauty of classical music (violin, in particular!) with my students. I am dedicated to this art and will be dedicated to you if you become my student. My teaching approach is highly individualized, as I seek to not only establish solid technical and musical foundations, but it is also deeply important to me for my students to have their unique voice heard in their music-making. Outside of our lessons, I am always there for any questions or help.
