I am a very experienced math teacher who has taught a variety of math courses over the past nine years. I have taught 6th grade through 12th grade including Calculus. I make my students feel confident in their math skills and am very good at bringing their current level up to the next level. Whether it be studying for the ACT, SAT or needing extra help on lessons from school, I am very confident at achieving the student's goal.

Hi! My name is Maria and I love teaching Mathematics and helping students understand math. I have a strong background in mathematics, with eleven years of successful middle and high school teaching experience. My goal as a teacher is to inspire students, and create a good understanding of mathematics so pupils can apply their skills to solve everyday situations, while promoting personal growth.
I earned by Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, while tutoring students in high school mathematics. I then realized my passion for teaching and Math. I hold two Master’s Degrees from Framingham State University in Massachusetts, one in International Education and another in Educational Leadership. I am fluent in English and Spanish, so I can teach in either language.

Maria has been an absolutely amazing resource for our son. We started our lessons with her when he was struggling in Algebra and within a few weeks his grades were in the 90's. She helped open up a new level of understanding for him and always went the extra mile, making extra review sheets and study guides for him to supplement what he received in class. We continued with her tutoring the next year for Geometry and the same high level of caring, patience and extra materials was standard practice. Our son looked forward to his lessons and his time with Maria, even if he was struggling with the subject matter, because he knew she would be there to help him unlock the areas he was having difficulty with in class. The past two years of math have been a success for him because of his sessions with Maria. We are so grateful to have had her as his tutor and can't recommend her highly enough.
