Born in Southern California, I began my violin studies at the age of 7 shortly after piano lessons with my mother. I made my professional debut with symphony orchestra at the age of fifteen playing the Vieuxtemps Violin Concerto No.4. I have been awarded several prizes in violin and chamber competitions, including 1st prize in the Four Seasons Orchestra Competition, 2nd Place in Solo Instrumental and 1st prize in Chamber Music in Southern School Performing Arts Competion, honors in American String Teacher Association, and the Best String Player of WMC.
I served as the 2nd violin principal of the YMF Debut Orchestra camp and concertmistress of the Wildwood Music Camp. I also been a member of the Pacific Symphony Youth Orchestra, Claremont Youth Musicians Orchestra, Orange County Youth Symphony Orchestra, All Southern California Orchestra, UCLA Philharmonia and Debut Symphony Orchestra. I have performed in masterclasses for Endre Granat, Anne-Akiko Meyers, Hu-Nai Yuan, Peter Marsh, Mark O'Connor, and Hal Grossman.
After attending the University of California, Los Angeles and studying with Professors Guillame Sutre and Movses Pogossian, I now spend my time participating in active chamber music, teaching/guiding students, and also gigging in studio sessions throughout the Los Angeles area. I am 100% commited with my student's musical journey. Playing an instrument not only takes discipline and patience; it also takes the proper guidance, and I am here to provide the inspiration and guidance for that. I am absolutely encouraging and be there every step of the way to benefit every individual student.
*** Lesson Details ***
Fun and a great foundation go hand in hand together in lessons. Without fun, there wouldn't be interest. Without a great foundation and proper guidance, a student wouldn't be able to play what he/she likes. In the beginning, I spend half of the lesson teaching the necessary foundations to play the violin (i.e. proper positioning, hold, scales, and etudes). The other half, we shall approach a challenging piece or a piece favored by the student to put those elements into good use! That way, we can always provide a consistency and improvement in every lesson.

I would expect my student to provide his/her own violin and stand. I can provide the sheet copy of the music if the student cannot buy the music book itself.
