As the teaching artist with Art Works Now I lead exciting art classes for seniors, families, prek and school aged groups in the local community. Here is a detailed list of some of my responsibilities and achievements during my tenure: Create and adapt curriculum rooted in social justice themes for multiple locations Design workshops, classes and camps for K-12, seniors, adults, professional development, pre-k Collaborate with a diverse team in a fast paced environment to meet community needs Research, produce and adapt dozens of lessons integrating science, history, cartography, civil rights, STEM, art history, literature

Media Arts Charter School

Taught Art 1, Graphic Design I & II, GT/Honors Drawing Collaborated with visual arts and media arts department to hang quarterly shows in community Facilitated college readiness through advisory duties (15 student caseload) Launched and sponsored National Art Honor Society 2014 (extra curricular) Faculty co-sponsor of student led Gay-Straight Alliance & Advocacy (extra curricular)

Albuquerque Public Schools

Facilitated art studio curriculum for high school students recently discharged from inpatient mental health facilities or juvenile detention. Be dependable and predictable in the classroom to support and guide students’ emotional well-being Fulfill all responsibilities of the art teacher on in addition to teaching, be a student advisor, prepare art shows, hold conferences etc.
