I've been teaching beginning guitar for 10 years.  My students learn the major and minor chords, notes, scales, how to tune by ear, strumming patterns, finger picking and open tunings. Hi, my name is Marcus and I teach beginning guitar, banjo, mountain dulcimer and ukulele. I've been teaching private lessons since 2011 and have loved helping my students acquire the skills needed for lifelong learning and music appreciation.  My approach to learning a musical instrument is to work at a pace students are comfortable with.  I provide written materials at no cost.

My child has loved and looked forward to her lessons each week.  We purchased 10 more and are adding Ukelele to the lessons!

He was absolutely fabulous! My daughter absolutely loved taking lessons with Marc.

Marcus was great, Raina was very excited to start, and is very excited to keep going.  :)

My daughter has been taking lessons from Marcus for less than a year and is now playing and singing some of her favorite songs!  I'm amazed at how well she does, because she has a processing disorder, weak fine motor and lacks coordination.  Marcus breaks everything down and is very patient.  My daughter had a different guitar instructor and was very discouraged with playing guitar.  Marcus changed everything! My daughter loves playing guitar and has a music connection with Marcus.
