In addition to having an MA in English and a JD in law, I have had over 30 years of English teaching experience, mostly at the college level. I've taught a variety of courses and tutored students in a variety of skills, including ESL; composition and grammar; analytical writing and critical thinking; American, British, and world literature; business writing and communications; introductory courses to the American legal system, and legal writing. At present, I'm teaching ESL to international professionals and other adults to help them improve their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. I also help ESL students prepare for the TOEFL and IELTS exams. Throughout my career, I've helped both native and non-native speakers of English improve their language and critical thinking skills. In tutoring, I take a very customized approach and use a variety of tested methods and effective materials to address each student's needs.

Marcelle is an expert at English language. I have been taking English writing lessons from her. She is a very good English expert, very focused and has been very sharp in identifying my weak points. She gave me a different strategy on how to overcome my weakness, and I am surprised with the result. I would recommend anyone who wants to improve their English. She is also a very good human being.

I like the way how she organized the classes. Marcelle knows which part of my English language needs to improve. She is very flexible in the timing of the classes. I strongly recommended her for whoever wants to improve and refresh their English language. Honestly, she's the best.
