Chemistry with Prof. Mahesh C. A.

I have spent my entire career which spans around 40years in the teaching profession and last year, I retired as the Dean of Department of Chemistry at the Science College, Gwalior. I have been awarded with 24 annual outstanding teaching awards during my career. Apart from helping students of different ages (middle-school to Doctorate students and Post-docs), I consider myself fortunate to collaborate with minds of different ages, cultures as well as different abilities. My experience of working with such wide range of students has not only helped me evolve into a better teacher, but also gave me the skill to uniquely tailor my teaching style so as to be most beneficial for the student suiting their individual needs. My strong passion to help students keeps me up-to-date with the ongoing advances in teaching field. Students have immensely appreciated my use of visual cutouts and models to explain complex structures including isomers and other difficult to visualize structures.
