Hello, my name is Mahbu and I'm an undergraduate of the City College of New York. I have been teaching college students for approximately 4 years now in my school. I am well known by numerous math and science professors in my school for being an outstanding student assistant. As an current alumni, I experienced the struggles that student go through inside the classroom and able to communicate with all my students at a personal level. I try to help as much students as possible and always follow up with their progress. I pay close attention to students who are not performing well so I can help them catch up with the rest of the class. This is extremely important because many student do not feel comfortable speaking asking for help when they need it. Moreover, during my senior year, I have been awarded the best student aide of the semester by my department. All my students achieved either a B or above in all of their math and science courses. As of now, I am conducting research for NOAA (National Ocean Atmospheric Administration), which involves studying climate change and figuring out many ways to help improve the environment. Furthermore, I am a board member of many clubs such as the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) and Aeronautics, where I teach students how to utilize their engineering skills learned in the classroom to real life. I am a student aide for the mechanical engineering department of my school. I tutor many math courses (including calculus), general physics and a variety of mechanical engineering courses. In addition, I am also a recitation leader for General Chemistry I and II. I help students understand key concepts of General Chemistry and relevant coursework. My duty is to encouraged students to participate, administer weekly quizzes and kept track of attendance. I am an expert is both private and lecture tutoring. If you want me to do group tutoring, please feel free to contact me for my specific policies. Additionally, I also do extended sessions if you need more assistance and the rates for that are posted in my profile. Any cancellation notice should me notified 4 hours prior to the beginning of the session. Lastly, I have the ability to pointing out the mistakes of students and provide them with suggestions on how they can improve their skills. As a student aide, I encourage students to help out other students. I find that teaching others enhances your own understanding of the subject and aids others in finding their mistake. This creates a mutual relationship between two people that is beneficial. Each time that I help my students solve a problem, I always look for more effective ways of my approach. As a tutor, I plan to bring out the full potential of my students. I want my students to learn a lot and share their learning experience with others. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me. I am available if you need help with any math, physics, chemistry or mechanical engineering courses.

One of the best tutors that I ever had in College. He made what seemed really difficult, extremely easy. Mechanical Engineering is tough but with the help of Mahbub, there is hope. Because of him I was able to get a A- in my Thermodynamics class.

Terrific Chemistry instructor! I was having a hard time trying to understand Acids and Base. Mahbub, however, explained to me the theory of Acids and Base in a way I would never forget. He's the best!

I enjoyed learning fluid Mechanics with Mahbub. He really knows his material inside and out. I have been struggling with Naiver Stokes for a long time now. Luckily before finals, Mahbub was there to help me out. Thanks man!
