I graduated from Furman University in May of 2016, with a major in Computing and Applied Mathematics. I tutored at high schools all throughout my college years, as well as being hired by the college to teach my peers in lower math classes. Following graduation, I became a home school teacher for a few families in the Bradenton area, with children ranging from elementary all the way up to high school. Although I am especially experienced in math, I have taught in all common core subjects. I love working one on one with kids-- there is a real opportunity for them to ask questions and integrate learning with whatever method works best for them and keeps them engaged. I am now currently enrolled in my second year at dental school in Bradenton, Florida, and have found a great way to integrate my mathematical education. I love that I am still able to tutor and keep the teaching passion of mine alive while I attend school. I love to work with math students of all ages, ranging anywhere from early elementary to collegiate level. Although I teach Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2 most commonly, there are few levels of math I am uncomfortable with. I love to help students make math applicable-- starting with simple problems and working up to multi-step. Through questions and examples, we can create a formula that works best for you. Every student's learning style is slightly different and I have found fun ways to accommodate this. I want to instill confidence and knowledge in my students! I know we can do it!
