Improve your violin skills with the guidance of an expert violinist and teacher
My most important attributes as a violin teacher are my knowledge of the violin's mechanics, general musical and repertoire knowledge, skill as a player, and strength as a communicator.
About Maggie G.

I have very extensive experience in teaching violin. I have taught private lessons as well as ensembles for over 10 years in the NYC and Long Island area; my students have included children of all ages as well as adults. I am very familiar with both the Suzuki method as well as more traditional approaches. In addition, I have successfully prepared students for music programs and tests, though contributing to their joy in learning the violin was always of primary importance to me. For many years, I have worked as a violin teacher and chamber music coach for the High School Summer Music Seminar at Western Michigan University and I have coached a string orchestra for adult late starters (NYLSO) since its inception in 2007. I am also seasoned in performing as a soloist, chamber musician and orchestra concertmaster. I hold Master’s degrees from the F. Chopin University of Music in Warsaw and from Manhattan School of Music in NYC.
