Hi! My name is Maggie and I am a writer, editor, and teacher. I will teach anyone with a desire to learn, but I have the most experience with high school and college students. My expertise is in writing--essays, college entrance statements, research papers, journalistic writing--and public speaking. I can help you improve your writing and get better grades. I also work with professionals to improve communication and writing skills. I can help you conquer your fear of public speaking, too. My schedule is flexible, so if you don't see the hours you need, send me a message and we can work something out.

Maggie is a great teacher and mentor for writing. She has extensive experience in creative nonfiction, and she is able to individualize her teaching so that students can achieve their personal goals. She teaches and guides with compassion and genuine caring, and I would highly recommend her!

Dr. Maggie Fry does everything in her power to help students achieve greatness. Her lectures are relevant, thorough, and engaging. She is equal parts witty and attentive; any feedback given is done so with an open mind. I believe that she has made me a better, more confident writer due to her encouragement - going out of her way to provide me with a list of publishers who accept student work. She gave me the courage to pursue my passion in life and finally declare my major as English with a concentration in writing.

I had a great experience with Maggie. I feel that she encouraged me to expand my interests and ability, particularly when it came to technical writing. I enjoyed working with her because she's down to earth and meets her students where they're at in addition to being a pleasant presence. I would recommend her to anyone.
