Dear future student :)
My name is Magdalena, aka Mantra Cora.
I was born in Poland, relocated to England in 2006 and then to the USA in 2016.
I have studied techniques of painting in both international seminars and privately with Prof. Phil Jacobson, as well as at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Macerata, Italy as an Erasmus Student. My study course in Italy was followed by a 4-month internship at the Phantasten Museum in Vienna, Austria where I assisted the internationally renowned artist, Ernst Fuchs. In 2013, I completed my BA in the Visual Arts at The University of Salford. England. In 2016 together with Philip Jacobson, I co-curated 'A Legacy of Light' exhibition of 86 international artists at Castle Gloggnitz, Austria. Aside from curating and coordinating art shows, I teach private classes online and in the studio. In addition I co-teach with my husband, Prof. Jacosbon in the Old Masters-New Visions international, mischtechnikseminars.com that we organize annually.
My body of work is concerned with portraits, figures, and comprised of visionary, fantastic and abstract elements. Some of my paintings were most recently presented at the Invitational International Visionary Art Exhibition at MAG Contemporary Art Fair, Montreux, Switzerland. I took my first painting class with Mantra the summer of 2016. I cannot extol her virtues as a teacher adequately enough. I just could never have accomplished what i did without her exemplary talents as a teacher. Her technical know how, her inspiration and uncanny ability to teach in the manner i could understand , process and apply is miraculous. Mantra ignited the artist in me and creativity stirred! She as a result gifted me with a love and joy of painting i never would have imagined i had!+ Read More
mantra makes painting really easy. i started the mischtechnik seminar at 2015 in payerbach austria and i had no idea what expect. this part of the time had change my life forever. she learned me how to work the light and shadows out and how to see more in paintings. she also showed me the way how to make tempera grassa, flemish tempera and the fast drying medium fa presto and how i have to use it. a very big bonus at the seminar is, you will learn another technique to bring your creativity on the canvas, with different materials.... an example: ashtrays, latex gloves, acrylic glas et cetera et cetera...... i graduated the mischtechnik seminar two times and every time i learn more about paintings and also about art history. what i was allowed to learn helps me on my way to paint and also on my way to draw. in combination mantra and phil are a super cool team and im happy, blessed and grateful to have them as teacher and friend. at the end both are highly recommented for diving into the world of art. im looking forward to join the next seminar, i hope this summer. much love+ Read More

My experience with Mantra has been a live changing experience. She was a blessing in my life, at a very difficult time for me due to an accident I had suffered. I really wanted to learn to paint, and specially to learn the mischtechnik and learn about how the old masters used to paint. I was very fortunate to come across Mantra. In her lessons I learnt from the most basics such as which materials to, mediums, brushes and so forth to technique. She guided me through the process of my first paintings online in a very clear way, always giving lots of useful tips and advice and always happy to share her vast knowledge. I felt she always respected my learning pace but encouraged me to continue when I felt blocked, unsure how to proceed or scared of messing up. After a year and a half having online lessons with Mantra, in which I made big progress in paintings, in the summer of 2016 I attended one of the seminars in Austria Mantra organices together with Prof. Philip Rubinov, which was another life changing experience.+ Read More
