I absolutely love teaching. I try to give my cello and voice students an education with the goal that they will someday be able to join an orchestra and be able to share in the joy of music making with others.
I focus on a firm grounding of music theory and sight-reading so that students will come away with the ability to read anything you can put in front of them.
At the same time, I lean heavily on the effect good technique has on musicianship - good bowing leads to good timing. Good fingering leads to good problem-solving. For cello, I use the Suzuki method books as well as many other sources, depending on the individual needs of the student.

Madeleine taught me so much about singing and the process behind it. she taught me warm-ups and technique that I use all the time and on top of that, introduced me to music theory and ear training. She is a joy to take lessons from and I highly recommend her
