Hello! I'm an opera singer and director, but more importantly for you I have an innate ability to teach. I started with my younger sister and her friends when I was just a teenager, and have continued teaching on and off since then. You can expect age- and level-appropriate repertoire that will challenge you and help you grow. We will work together to find your true voice, and cultivate that to be as easy and consistent as possible. When I started singing, I had a very small voice. I could match pitch and sounded pretty, but I had no vibrato and freedom to my sound. I now sing opera professionally, and have no trouble cutting through an orchestra. That does not come from pushing, but from working through many tension and breath issues that were holding me back. Having built my technique through intense study and practice over many years, I have encountered or created helpful approaches to many vocal roadblocks, and I will share my expertise with you. Everyone learns differently and responds to different exercises and ideas; I will find the approach that works for you. I look forward to helping you become the best singer you can be!
