Hi! My name is miss Melissa and I love children !( I also am a classroom aide at a local school district! And am a professional pianist at a local church) I have taught for over 40 years to students ages 4 & up! Many of my students have won state awards. I use various piano methods- whichever I feel the student can learn the most thorough and quickest as well as most fun learning.... Alfred's, Faber, SCHAUM, Thompson ( yes I use some older methods they are the most successful ) and many more. We always learn all styles , pop, classical , rock, gospel , jazz. Sometimes we have contests with prizes. And we always have a recital each year. The student gets to perform on a grand piano at least 2-3 pieces. I teach either at your home or at a local library on my keyboard whichever works for all of us. I have a pay in advance policy , and a 24 hour cancellation notice for emergencies. /makeups . Summertime lessons are a little flexible and your vacations we can negotiate . My students throughout the years have had fun taking lessons with me.
