The first Show Up Girls workshop is Saturday, March 26th from 12:30 - 3:30! Show Up Girls is an improv class for preteen and teenage girls. Our mission is to nurture talent, confidence, and collaboration. For girls interested in acting, writing, public speaking, and other creative fields, the class includes exercises in scene work, brainstorming, and character building. But this is more than an acting class. It’s for any girl who wants to play, be creative, express ideas, and make mistakes in a judgment-free environment. At Show Up Girls, we believe that every girl can command a stage - and they’re all worth listening to. I’m an improviser, writer, and actress working in the TV industry in Los Angeles. I’ve been improvising for six years, starting at Second City and iO in Chicago and transferring to iO West when I moved to LA in 2012. I love the optimistic, collaborative, and accepting philosophy of improv, and I want to share it with others. I want girls to show up -- on stage, in the classroom, in their communities, in their lives.
