Hi, I'm Lydia, and I'm here to help you bring your flute-playing skills to the next level. In my four years of teaching experience, I have worked with students from absolute beginners to people preparing for college/conservatory auditions, and all skill levels in between, so I'm sure I can help you reach your goals, no matter your current level! Whether you need to pass a playing test, win a higher chair in band, or prepare a new solo piece, I'm here for you!
In lessons, I focus on fundamentals of technique and sound production, as well as phrasing and musical interpretation. I work with each student individually to discuss your personal goals and tailor a lesson plan that meets your needs.
As for my resume, I am currently finishing my degree at the prestigious Curtis Institute of Music. I am a member of the flute section in Symphony in C, an orchestra in Camden, NJ, and I play concerts regularly in the Philadelphia area.
I look forward to meeting you!
I am a member of this pre-professional training orchestra, located in Camden, NJ. We play concerts regularly throughout the year and also provide musical outreach to the surrounding community.
I worked as a substitute teacher at this wonderful organization, which provides high-quality musical training for Philadelphia students who otherwise would not have access to musical education.
I attended the Lake George Music Festival for two consecutive summers, first as solo piccolo and then as principal flute. Besides orchestra, I participated in musical outreach and chamber music performances.
