Luke Hagerman is a bassist, composer and educator hailing from Northeast Ohio who now resides in Seattle, Washington. As a student of music, Luke has developed a highly accessible and thorough method of teaching that ensures success in each student. Great attention is paid to each student's individual abilities and interests, nurturing the specifics while also equipping students with skills applicable to all musical situations.
Luke knows what's up man. Super smart and makes learning jazz easy peasy.
Thanks for the lessons, Luke!
Luke is very cool and knows a lot about jazz. I used to only play in orchestra but now I play in jazz ensemble too and if there's a bass solo I don't get as nervous.
I do a Skype lesson once a month and it's awesome. Whenever I don't understand something, Luke always finds a way to make it make sense. Really laid back teacher and is super cool.
I'm an electric player who plays mostly rock but I play in a bluegrass band too (standup bass.) A million calluses later and I'm still using the stuff you taught me. He's a really good teacher for electric players who want to learn standup bass.+ Read More
I took lessons from Luke when he lived in Ohio. He helped a TON with my right hand technique. Good luck out west dude!
thanks for a great lesson!! you're a killer player and teacher. TEEN TOWN :D
I took about 3 months of electric bass lessons... He's a little quirky, but very chill and really patient. I was just starting out and he taught me all of the notes on the bass and how to read music. That was super helpful because now I can play in my high school's pep band without having to learn all of the songs by ear. I definitely recommend Luke as a teacher!+ Read More
