I have taught violin and viola for over 40 years to beginners through very advanced students. A former student of renowned violin teacher Paul Rolland, I have taught in the public schools and most recently as a college professor teaching others how to teach. I love working with students of all ages and watching the delight and pride a student enjoys as new goals are reached!

My daughter took lessons with Lucy for a little over a year. She grew and learned so much with her. We miss her!

Lucy is a first-rate violinist. She can play with the best of orchestras or chamber music groups. She is also a wonderful, warm person, and an experienced teacher of violin and viola.

Lucy Manning and I have known each other for approximately 9 years. I have found her to be very dedicated to her craft and professional in every way. Lucy and I worked together for 6 year while I worked as a violin instructor at Old Dominion,. In addition, I was able to watch her teach at a Paul Rolland workshop at George Mason University where I again witnessed her excellent teacher first hand. I can easily say that she has a great deal of experience and knowledge of teaching both the violin and viola.
