I believe that a musical education is very important, life changing even. No matter the age of my students, I emphasize on creativity, discipline and problem solving strategies that must be discovered when immersing oneself into the world of cello playing. I received my Bachelors of Music in cello performance from the Bob Cole Conservatory and later received my Masters degree from University of Redlands. At both institutions I held principal positions, was an active member in all string ensembles and performed often in university related events. Outside of school, I perform with the Dana Point Symphony and continue to freelance with several ensembles. Previously, I have been part of the Los Angeles Jr. Philharmonic, Olympia Youth Orchestra, American Youth Symphony, Debut Orchestra and was a student member of the Redlands Symphony Orchestra. I have also participated in Masterclasses for Irene Sharp, Cecilia Tsan, Bonnie Hampton, Johannes Moser, Tao Ni, Robert deMaine, and the Calder and Borromeo String Quartets. Thank you for visiting my profile and please feel free to message me with any questions you may have.

This is my second month with Miss Lucy and I have learned twice as much than what I have learned in the orchestra. We covered many great and interesting topics like harmonics and the third octave. She taught me things my conductor in the orchestra never tells you such as how to play softly if you are playing really loud on your instrument. Miss Lucy is an excellent teacher, and if I was a beginner in the string instrument world, I would want to be taught by miss Lucy than the teacher in you orchestra class. One of the things that changed me in practicing my cello is "You must play for the love of music. Perfect technique is not as important as making music from the heart." I like how I learned so much more, Ms. Lucy helps me with my 3rd and 4th fingerings. I always misplace my finger's. she had also taught me what type of bow I should be using. For me, I would recommend her as a teacher for people who want to learn cello. This is my second-month playing cello with Ms. Lucy and I have learned many songs. Even the famous song Blue Danube. I like how she's nice, funny and very patient, but we get a lot done together. Aiden T

Ms. Lucy is a spectacular cello teacher, she teaches you things that you don't learn in school like Harmonics and the third octave. She also fixes our bad habits and shows you the correct way like having a round hand when playing the "A" string and to have you thumb on the string when it is below the saddle. I liked the lesson a lot and I can't wait for the next lesson next week
