Luciana Farias is an Argentinian Flamenco dancer based in New York City, who also specializes in Danza Estilizada, Escuela Bolera and Folkloric Spanish dances. During 2019 Luciana joined Flamenco Vivo Company and Flamenco y Sol Company as a Flamenco Dancer and Teaching Artist. She is also Flamenco teacher at Mark Morris School.Luciana has been dancing weekly at flamenco shows in New York since 2019 as a freelancer artist. She had performed with the nyc artists Raphael Brunn (guitar), Cristobal Cintron (cante), Alfonso Cid (cante), Juan Pedro Jimenez (cante y guitarra), Reynaldo Rincon (cante y guitarra), Jesule de Utrera (cante) and Hernan Romero (performer), etc. Some of the places she performed are Instiuto Cervantes, Scottish Rite Museum (Massachusetts), Centro Espanol de Queens, Marbella restaurant, Sangria latin restaurant, Nai Tapas, etc. She has also studied with Elena Andujar (spain), Natalia Meirino (Argentina), Marcos Jimenez (Spain), Manuel Linan (Spain), Marco Flores (Spain), Marilo Uguet (Spain), Emilio Ochando (Spain), Angel Munoz (Spain), Isaac Tovar (dancer), etc. In June 2019 she has been selected to participate with a full scholarship for the “Spanish dance and Flamenco Program 2019” in Jacobs Pillow School with masters Carmen Ledesma (Spain), Carmela Greco (Spain) and Irene Rodriguez (Cuba). Luciana started dancing at the age of two at her mother's dance school "Escuela de danzas de Stella Fernandez" and studied Flamenco, Tap, Classic Dance and Folclore Argentino for several years. At the age of 15 she was already performing professionally and teaching dance classes. At the age of 20 she graduated as a Superior Interpreter in Spanish Dance at the “Sibila Choreographic Center” in Buenos Aires. At the same time, she performed professionally during 10 years on different shows in recognized theatres from Buenos Aires (El Teatro Avenida, Teatro Borges) and tablaos (El Perro Andaluz, Tiempo de Gitanos, etc).
