My name is Lou and I have been playing guitar since the age of 14. I was a manager at Colorado's largest music store retailers'. Quite often, I have been the one behind the scenes either teaching, recording, engineering, or running live sound. I started teaching when I was 18 years old, it just seemed I had an ability to make sense out the guitar. I understand after years of teaching what motivates and helps students get to their goals. My experience has made balancing the repertoire of challenging material with realistic outcome, a high priority. Students making progress while having fun is the ultimate goal! *** Lesson Details *** Learning guitar should be fun and rewarding! The most important aspect is to find out what's important to you, my student, what goals do you have? I teach the basics from holding the guitar to strumming as well as advance techniques like 8 finger tapping, hybrid picking, economy (sweep) and alternate picking. I use any technology or device that makes learning easier and fun. I include an audio file either an mp3 or a Guitar Pro 6 file that allows you to practice with actual music. At every lesson I make sure students are progressing and have an idea of what is expected for the following lesson. I believe that after the 1st month you will see results and feel a sense of accomplishment. And of coarse, we rock out! *** Studio Equipment *** Music Studio: chairs, bass and guitars, bookshelf, studio stand with recorder, computer, monitors, parents can sit in on lesson *** Specialties *** I can teach advance guitar techniques like 8 finger tapping, hybrid picking, and economy picking.
