Music has been a very integral part of my life ever since I was a little kid. From the age of 9, I have been exploring music and what it can do for my life. I love being a singer, nothing makes me happier in the world and I want to instill into my students the joy that singing can bring them. My lessons will consist of warming up and learning to vocalize, and working on repertoire to create a solid vocal foundation that can be applied to any kind of music that you wish to sing. Above all, I'm about feeling good about yourself and having fun!

About Louis T.

I am a lyric baritone from the small town of Conowingo, Maryland. I spent my childhood absorbed in the arts, dabbling in painting and even wood burning. But, I found my true calling in music. From the moment I got a keyboard for Christmas when I was nine, I have never stopped exploring where music can take me. I expanded my horizons as a flute player in my high school’s marching band, sang Turkish and Irish music in my university’s world music ensemble, and even played bass guitar for a few local bands in the Baltimore area. When I was completing my undergraduate training, I suffered a life-altering bout of depression. This dark time led to one of the best decisions I ever made: to become an opera singer. Since this, I have striven to be an advocate for my own mental health and the mental health of others, firmly believing in the healing power of singing. I hope one day to be able to bring the music of the operas that I love so dearly to people of all walks of life as a unifying and uplifting experience of the human soul. I earned my bachelor’s of music performance in voice at Towson University where I studied with Theresa Bickham and Phillip Collister and am currently earning my master’s of music in voice at the Bard College Conservatory of Music’s Vocal Arts Program where I study with Joan Patenaude-Yarnell.
