Hello everyone, I’m Louis!!!

Are you looking to learn how to play the trumpet?
Do you want to learn how to play different styles?
Do you want to improve your skills or your getting ready for a college audition?

If so, I can help you.

I first and foremost believe that we should make music and enjoy what we are doing. So with that in mind, we are going to work a lot on technique because that gives us the tools to be expressive and have consistency in our playing. We will then apply the technique that we practiced to various compositions.

I am a patient person and if you are not sure of something you can always ask. We are here to learn and grow. I thrive to make sure that you will learn something in our lesson. Within our lessons, I will in sprinkle some music theory/ear training/ and music history. Music theory allows us to understand the structure of music. Ear training work on our ears to be in tune, play what we hear, and to be able to recite it. Music history allows us to understand the context and interpretation of what we are playing whether it’s Mozart to Stravinsky, Duke Ellington to John Zorn, or Jack White to Herbie Hancock.

I frankly believe that anyone can learn how to play the trumpet no matter your age or what stage we are at. We should thrive to learn and improve our skills.

Please message me if you have any questions. I look forward to our first lesson!!!!

Teaching since:

I started music lessons when I was 5 years old starting on piano and have started playing tuba when I was 15 . I attended the Berklee College of Music from 2012-2017 with dual degrees in Music Composition and Professional Music (emphasis on music technology, contemporary music, and arranging/jazz studies). My primary teachers for trombone were John Faieta and Greg Fritz and my primary teachers for composition were Panos Liarapolis and Vuk Kulenovic.

During my time in school I ventured to push myself outside of my boundaries. I played in Salsa, Ska, Reggae, Orchestral, Trap, Musicals, Rock, Rnb, Big Band, Choir.

I have been fortunate to have my compositions/ arrangements performed at the Berklee Performance Center, The Red Room, American Hellenic University, and others venues. I’ve had performances/recordings by the following ensembles by The Berklee Symphonic Winds, The Harry Potter Orchestra, and L’anima String Quartet whose based in Athens. I was awarded a Berklee Achievement Scholarship in 2014 and The John Bavachi Memorial Scholarship in 2016.

I have preformed at the Berklee Preformance Center, The Red Room. Symphony Hall, Walt Disney Hall, Valley Performing Arts Center, among other venues.
