Welcome!!! Loretta has always been fascinated with how music is created and who works behind the scenes of performances and recordings. She is proficient in the flute, piano, and voice. While earning her Bachelors degree at UMASS and Masters degree at NYU, Loretta explored sound, singing, technology, and performance. Having taught for over a decade, she describes working with students both in person and online as "an incredible blessing." In particular, online lessons has allowed Loretta to work with students who love the convenience of being at home in their comfort zones, and helps her reach students who could not otherwise access lessons Loretta states, "I can show students what it is like to really grow by having fun while learning, as opposed to the other way around! I love my students of all ages, and can only hope to show others how amazing music can be." As a board-certified music therapist (MT-BC), Loretta has worked with a handful of students who are differently abled and she is comfortable teaching in a non-traditional style. "Those who can do teach, and those who can teach totally do!" *** Lesson Details *** Students set the pace for their lesson while Loretta customizes the curriculum for each student's needs. Together, Loretta develops a goal plan with her students so the time together is interesting, fun, and works toward progress! In 3-6 months, students will have a stable technical program and will have started a portfolio of music for performances, no matter the level. Students can share sheet music on any platform online and access great links to amazing performances. "Just let me know where you want to be in your journey and we'll work together to make it happen. I can't wait to meet you!" *** Studio Equipment *** First - YOU MUST HAVE YOUR OWN INSTRUMENT FOR PRACTICE AT HOME BEFORE BEGINNING LESSONS!!!
