I was able to work with children teaching them about science, math, and english. My favorite of all to teach was English because it's the one I enjoyed most. It allows me to be interactive with the students and it seemed like the one my students had most fun learning!

For this camp I was the head counselor where I was in charge of directing fellow counselors on daily tasks and activities. During this time period I also learned what it was like caring for children from the ages 3-4 years old. This age group is really hard to care for, but I learned what they needed and my effort was to teach them Science and English.

Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to sign the alphabet and beginner signs for conversation and as time goes on you'll be able to sign in full sentences.  I specialize in finger spelling, typically using and ASL dictionary books, and have the following tools available for your lessons: many books, notes from classes I have taken. I love working with students of all ages and experience levels and I can't wait to meet you!

Lets make learning fun for you and what better way to do that than with a highly motivated, ambitious, exuberant teacher! I am willing to go out of my way to prepare a customized lesson plan for each of my students. If you like games, and it helps you with memorization, then we will stick with that! I am also excited to get to know everyone of my students strengths so we will focus on that! You won't regret it ! :)

Lorena really exceeded my expectations. She is so fun to learn with and really makes learning fun! I learned ASL with her and I learned so much about the culture and language of the deaf community!
