Learning the Standard Query Language (SQL) sets you up to be a data professional. Hi, my name is Lloyd, and I am your guide to you becoming an ace in SQL. Students can expect to learning how to store, manipulate and retrieve data in a database and improve from week to week. Everyone has a learning pace, and for that reason, the lessons are tailor-made for the student. Students can also expect to learn how to communicate with relational databases through SQL and how to manipulate data and build queries that communicate with more than one table. The age that we are living in now is data-driven. Data is being used to drive decisions regarding company operations, teaching effectiveness, marketing, product sentiment, and a host of other categories. This makes understanding of SQL a great skill for almost everyone. I teach students of all different ages and experience levels. I have worked with various databases in an academic and professional capacity which allows me to guide students into professional excellency. I have worked with Oracle, SQL Server, PostGres SQL, Sybase, Google BigQuery, Microsoft Access and Teradata to name a few databases. In all of these databases, the SQL fundamentals still apply. My passion is to see wider application of SQL in the educational institutions and in the industry and I believe in equipping students for the next stage in their professional development.
