Hi guys, my name is Liza Q, PKA Liza. I've been performing since the age of 5, songwriting and recording since the age of 8, and trained/worked in musical theatre and classical voice for over 10 years after that. I became a professional songwriter by 18, and since, transitioned to working with pop recording artists. I've been lucky enough to work behind the scenes in the music industry for 20 years; writing songs, recording vocals on 100s of albums + music for TV and film, & singing back-up alongside several artists like Jennifer Lopez, Nelly, Ricky Martin, Gloria Estefan, Alejandro Sanz, Ricardo Montaner, Jon Secada, Ziggy Marley, Snoop Dogg, & Jencarlos Canela, to name a few. Because of these opportunities, I started in-studio coaching & vocal producing many of the artists I had written songs for. This eventually led to getting the chance to work as vocal director & coach for the Orianne and Phil Collins Little Dreams Foundation, and, most recently, coaching Latin pop group CNCO in preparation for their 2018/2019 world tour, as well as coaching some on-air talent on France’s NRJ TV series Les Anges 11. But in between all of that show-biz stuff, I've experienced every kind of scene, including gigging in bars, so I feel like I understand all aspects of performer life. I've been so lucky to do what I love for so long, and now I want to help anyone at any level do something they love, too. I became a vocal coach, not because I think I'm a perfect singer, but rather because I have loved and continue to love learning the craft of singing and want to help others who love it, too. I sympathize with a singer's struggles to constantly get better, and I also appreciate the value in helping people who have always been curious about singing, & just need the right kind of guidance to get the chance to learn a skill that can often make one feel so vulnerable. With me, beginner students can expect to learn about basic technique, vocal health, and finding their natural voice in a way that pertains to genres they like, so that it all seems not-so-scary. Intermediate students can explore finding their personal style, safely expanding their range, and correcting any potentially unsafe habits, while professional students can get feedback and tips to improve on their overall strategies and goals moving forward. I hope I get the chance to also help YOU reach your goals and full potential!
