When you grow up with a linguist who speaks 6 languages, it's hard not to fall in love with learning languages. My goal is to help you love it too! I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish and Anthropology. My passion for language learning evolved into a love of teaching when I began tutoring college and high school students in Spanish in 2008. After studying in southern Spain (choosing to live with monolingual Spanish speakers, studying and speaking strictly in Spanish, and enrolling in German classes in order to study with only Spaniards!), my knowledge and experience with the Spanish language developed into fluency along with a deep understanding and love of the language and its speakers. After writing my Honors College thesis on Foreign Language Instruction in the Post-Methods Era, I began teaching ESL and Spanish to students of all ages and backgrounds. During my 7 years in Nicaragua, I developed, coordinated and taught Spanish and English language curricula to students ages 4-45 and ran a bi-lingual Spanish-English preschool. I continue to teach individualized Spanish and ESL lessons to children and adults, both in-person and online, as a full-time profession.
