M.A. in International Affairs from George Washington University with a 3.5 GPA. My degree also makes me well qualified to teach, American History, World History, Social Studies, and Political Science.
My first experience with tutoring was in 2004, when I helped to tutor middle school students learning English as a second language (ESL). I also have a year of experience as a teaching assistant on a study abroad program in Brazil. During the program I taught a basic Portuguese class for the college students and conducted simultaneous translations. I also have 8 years of experience teaching special needs children (autism).
More than three years experience training adults on IT programs such as MS Project and PowerPoint. More than three years experience training event planners in the U.S. Courts.
I am currently working at the Embassy of Brazil in D.C. I have done Portuguese- English, English-Portuguese interpretation for them at events in the U.S. I work full time so am available on weekends and weeknights only.
