I adapt my teaching style to match your learning style. I have a wide variety of experience in: General Business, Legal Services, Social Sciences, Humanitarian /Political Organizations; and Teaching Academic English to non-native English speakers.
In addition to being a Doctorate level Professor for over eighteen years I am also: an author, public speaker, lawyer and business owner. I am a native English speaker recently relocated to Paris. I continue to practice law in the United States via a virtual law office and I am also writing a novel.

Preside over all Superior Court matters including: criminal and civil jury trials, and
juvenile offender/dependency matters and mental health hearings.
Own and operate general practice law office. Areas of practice include:
employer/employee human resources rights and responsibilities;
civil litigation; family law; contracts; business formation; real estate
transactions; and pro bono representation of domestic violence victims,
juveniles, LGBTQ+, racial and other discrimination issues.
Subjects Taught: Criminal law, evidence, criminal procedure, juvenile justice. Worked in the criminal
justice program teaching students who are applying to the police academy.
Reviewed briefs, researched and analyzed substantive and procedural issues.
Assisted in all phases of criminal and civil trials, plea and settlement negotiations.
Managed 1000 file a week trial rotation on both the civil motions and criminal hearings
calendars, and video arraignment hearings. Juvenile-offender and dependency-rotation.
Jury management both in and out of trial. Reviewed and wrote over 400 community
violation reports and 500 guardianship files. Wrote jury instructions and CLE outlines.
I have also clerked for several other commissioners and pro tem judges serving on the Snohomish County Superior Court bench
Taught English to Japanese high school students.
Certified to act as a Guardian ad Litem in the State of Washington and territory of Guam.
