I have been a cellist for 11 years and have a passion for teaching new students to play this beautiful instrument. I have played in many different ensembles ranging from classical, to rock, to jazz and would love to help you build a repertoire in any of these genres! I was classically trained so I believe that a strong sense of theory is important when learning any musical instrument, therefore not only will you be playing pieces, but also building technical skills through scales and exercises. I like to keep my lessons fun and reward my students for their hard work!

Being a cellist for 11 years, I have a passion for performing, but a stronger passion for teaching others. I have taught for 4 years and had a variety of different students who learned on different levels. Originally from New York, I have participated in their solo festival 6 times and have played in All-County orchestras such as SCMEA, LISFA and NYSCAME. I was first chair in my section and played in a variety of ensembles including: orchestra, chamber orchestra, jazz band, pit orchestra, and many other types of performances. I am classically trained and love to incorporate music theory into my instrumental teachings.
