Hello, I have been teaching private piano lessons for 30 years to students of all ages and levels beginner through early advanced. I make learning to play piano fun and rewarding. Playing piano is “playful”. My students learn how to read music, or chord method plus the reason why musicians excel in speed, reading, memorization, and ability. With a good technic, your fingers will dance on the keys. Weekly lesson plans are created to center on your desires and needs. You will develop expressive playing and how to “feel” the music. As a patient and supportive teacher, I am a member of The National Guild of Piano Teachers and the National Federation of Music Clubs and able to prepare a student to participate in these events if they so desire. The lesson is all about the student. Everyone is unique and my goal is to get to know your personality and learning styles as I use time tested technics to help you reach the next level of playing. My teaching style is to be consistent, compassionate, and a good listener. I like to do research for my students to provide interesting music to play. With my many years of created music handouts, resources, library, and technology, I am ready to give you a quality piano lesson. Although I have my own studio, I do teach several students online and updated my technology to better the learning experience. I keep a file on each student, so I can follow along with their music and lesson plans. I am seeking to increase my online student base so that I have a balanced mix of online and in studio students.
