I have been teaching violin since 1991 and have had many students go on to become violin teachers and performers. Music is a great way to open a child’s mind to better overall learning and a spectacular hobby for the adult student. You’ll even get chances to perform (if you want them).
I have studied with professors from the Galamian, Suzuki, Roland, and old school Russian methodologies and incorporate the best of all. I also continue to learn and study to help students of all ages and abilities gain masterful technique and sound.
Students excel into concertmaster positions; are accepted into youth symphonies (MYA, Wisconsin Honors Orchestra, and beyond); gain college scholarships; and, learn how to play the styles that interest them most.
Many previous students have received college music scholarships, as well as gone on to professional musical careers. Adult students have continued to grow and enjoy performing in various community opportunities.
· Violin · In studio I am an adult student and have been taking lessons from Lisa for several years. She is an excellent teacher - patient, creative, challenging, and flexible; characteristics of a great teacher. I've had the great pleasure of watching her develop many young violinists and can't recommend her enough for anyone (of any age) who is interested in learning this wonderful and challenging instrument!
