Lisa has been very helpful in assisting my nephew with his singing lessons. My nephew expressed that Lisa's very encouraging and does a good job of addressing the genre of music he prefers. He feels that he's making progress with his singing.
I really appreciate the positive feedback. It feels really nice hearing things I do well, especially when I am new to this and can't make awesome music yet. Thank you!
Lisa B is an excellent teacher. She pays attention to you as a person in order to meet your needs. Is very helpful and knowledgeable.
Lisa, is wonderful. She takes the fear out of learning. I have a great time, and I can't wait for my next session.
Lisa did a great job of making my little boy feel positive about himself and his violin. She was not willing to involve me as a parent in the process, however. We were looking for a private teacher to help get my son up to speed in the orchestra he was in, and Lisa did not work on the things that I asked her to work on with him and made it very clear that she didn't want me involved in any way. There was quite a bit of tension, and when I tried to clear the air, she didn't respond to that and simply said that I could choose a different teacher with a different approach if I wished. So I did. She might be great for an older child, or for a parent who has no specific goals or need for involvement, but since I'm the one who practices with my son 7 days a week, it was important for me to not feel completely shut out of the loop and to not feel uncomfortably shut out and scolded by his instructor. Lisa has a lot of great strengths working with the kids. I think it just really depends on what you're looking for. If, as a parent, who want to be completely hands off and have no real interaction with the teacher, I think Lisa will be great. She'll ignore you, you'll ignore her, and the child will probably be very happy with the classes.
