Hi! I am Linnea, and I have been playing the violin and viola for 19 years. I began teaching private lessons over 10 years ago, and it has become my greatest passion in life. I graduated from Rutgers University in 2013, and am currently working towards my Masters in Viola Performance at Boston University.
I am an energetic, highly creative, passionate, and extremely patient teacher. I love working with people of all ages, and I strive to make the learning process as fun as possible! I am constantly changing exercises and pieces in order to keep my students engaged, and to keep their minds working the entire lesson. I am very good at pushing people to be their best, without being negative or harsh. I believe that having fun helps the learning process, and that me and my student work as a team to learn together. I encourage my students to be inquisitive and thoughtful about their learning, so through my lessons, they will be learning about how to teach themselves!
I teach students privately out of my home and hold studio events for them. I used to maintain a studio of 30 students before moving to Boston
